How To Find The Best Interlock Service Center?
When you need an ignition interlock device installed, your first question might not be “Where is the best service center?” This could be your first experience with an ignition interlock device and the quality of the service center is not the first thing on your mind.
At LifeSafer, we believe that the relationship with the technician at your local service center is critical to a successful ignition interlock program. Installation of the device will be the first person-to-person contact you’ll have with your interlock device provider. In order for this initial experience to be a good one, we invest in the training, monitoring, and support of all of our service center installers.
Why is the quality of interlock service so important?
Simply put, it’s the only way you can be sure you will have the best experience possible as you go through your program. You want to know your vehicle is in good hands, right? You want to be treated with respect and receive all the training you need in order to have the knowledge and confidence to complete your interlock program. We are committed to your success.
To become a LifeSafer Authorized Service Center, every shop must follow state regulations for providing interlock service. Our Field Operations team screens hundreds of potential centers to find the best available support for our clients. And our team helps them through every step to make sure they meet all state requirements.
But that’s just the beginning. Every interlock installer involved in device installation, service, and removal must complete 40 hours of supervised training before they can become approved to be an Authorized Service Provider. Once training is completed, only then are iid installers certified to work on your vehicle and to train you on how to use your interlock device.
Assistance for our Authorized Service Centers doesn’t stop there. The Field Operations team is always available to answer questions and service centers are visited regularly to monitor performance.
Investing in our service centers helps you succeed.
No other provider invests so much time and effort in service center training even though it is so important to your success. The last thing you want is to have your device installed incorrectly, resulting in harm to your vehicle or causing false readings or lockouts. That would mean more time and money to get the device fixed. It could also increase your stress level and lower your confidence in the installer’s ability to help you.
