How Do I Get An Ignition Interlock Device (iid) Installed In Oklahoma?
When can I get my IID installed?
At the time of arrest for a DUI in Oklahoma, the officer will take away your license. You will be given an affidavit that allows you to drive for 30 days. This administrative action happens if your blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is .08 or higher. See the state website to request a hearing or a Modified Driver’s License.
If successful in obtaining a Modified Driver’s License, you will receive instructions on proceeding with an interlock device installation. If you refused a chemical test, an ignition interlock is required and your license suspended for 6 months.

What are the steps to license recovery in Oklahoma?
When convicted of a DUI, alcohol use disorder assessment and treatment is the first step and it is mandatory. A list of counselors and treatment programs can be found here or by calling 800-522-9054.
After approval for a Modified Driver’s License, you regain your privileges to drive if the vehicle is non-commercial and has an IID installed. Apply for a Modified Driver’s License as soon as possible so you can get your IID installed and return to driving without delay.
