“bloody Idiot” – An Australian Term For Drunk Driver

Anti-drunk driving PSAs present the problem of the drunk driver from different angles. Some are humorous, some shocking, some grisly, and some attempt to bring up points you might not have pondered up to now – such as how a DUI will affect your finances or social life.

The Transport Accident Commission of Victoria, Australia decided to cut right to the bone in their 2011 campaign. The theme was – this is a paraphrase – “look what you’re doing to everyone you love, you bloody idiot.” Not the cheeriest PSA you’ll see out there, but there’s no denying the truth of it. There can be times when a drunk driver has more to answer for than he or she will ever be able to.
